Dramatic crane rescue in Fort Worth as firefighters lower trapped operator to safety

Fort Worth firefighters spent more than two hours Wednesday night rescuing a crane operator stranded high above the ground just south of downtown. Crews reached the man at the top of the crane and slowly lowered him alongside a rescuer, a descent that took about ten minutes. The rescue unfolded across from JPS Hospital, where cameras captured the dramatic operation as it neared completion around 9:15 p.m.
