Corsicana educator honored for heroism after eye injury in school fight

Corsicana ISD Assistant Principal Candra Rogers will have her eye removed next month due to an injury sustained while breaking up a school fight. She experiences daily headaches and is pushing for more state resources to manage students with behavioral issues. The Uvalde Foundation has awarded her their annual Heroism Award.
