"They just kept doing what we've been taught to do, and that's guard people," Baylor coach Kim Mulkey said. "We just beat the defending national champions."
Texas Tech will be in the national championship game with a chance to make school history, thanks to a hard-fought 61-51 win against Michigan State.
Baylor and Notre Dame will both be looking for a third national championship in a rematch of the 2012 title game won by the Lady Bears 80-61.
The Lady Bears, who have trounced four opponents in the NCAA Tournament by an average of 38 points, face Final Four newcomer Oregon in Friday's national semifinals.
The Texas Longhorns (21-16) defeated the Lipscomb University Bison (28-8) in the NIT Title game at Madison Square Garden 81-66.
