Wrong-Way Driver Causes Multi-Vehicle Wreck On Central Expressway

DALLAS (CBSDFW) - Panicked drivers swerved out of the way early Tuesday morning as headlights came speeding right at them on Central Expressway in Dallas causing a chain-reaction crash involving a wrong-way driver.

Just after midnight, 911 calls came in about an SUV speeding south in the northbound lanes of Central between the High Five and Park Lane.

Reports say the driver struck at least two other vehicles before she crashed into a barrier. Despite heavy damage to all the vehicles involved, there were no serious injuries.

According to police, the driver was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
