DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Kids from across the country came to North Texas to spend time with a wrestling superstar... WWE's John Cena.

Cena, who will sit out Wrestlemania in Arlington Monday with an injury, didn't want to miss this event put together by Make-A-Wish at the Dallas World Aquarium.

Even if you're not performing in the show, you can still make a difference and make Wrestlemania for a lot of folks," says Cena, who's been an ambassador for Make-A-Wish, granting more than 500 of them.

"These kids have been robbed of a portion of their childhood, through these illnesses and situations that they're dealt," says Scott Landry of Make-A-Wish North Texas.  "And this, today, gives them a little piece of that back."

As part of its 30-year partnership with Make-A-Wish, WWE invited 31 wish kids and their families to attend WrestleMania for their one true wish and induct them into WWE's Circle of Champions.

Kids also got to take pictures with their wrestling hero and hear kind, inspiring words from him.
