World's Greatest Scavenger Hunt
KRLD -- Remember when you'd have a scavenger hunt as a kid? Well take that excitement and think globally. That is the idea behind GISHWHES, which stands for The Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen.
"Last year we had a task to find an actual usable intercontinental ballistic missile silo that you could still enter and decorate it for Halloween," said Karen Ehrenberger of the GISHWHES Monkey Brigade team.
This week they are running around looking for the items on this year's list that was published last Saturday. They have until this Saturday to do as many as they can to win.
It's all in the name of fun, but they are tasked with helping others along the way. "It's to promote a charity called Random Acts. They do a lot to just give back to local individuals in different communities," Karen added.
