CORINTH (CBS11) - Police in Corinth have an 18-year-old in custody in connection with a weekend home invasion robbery.

According to police, three more suspects—including the masked gunmen—are still on the run. Detectives believe Annika Draeger, set up her date to be robbed.

"They had been texting back and forth," says Lt. Carrie West of the Corinth Police Department.

According to Lt. West, the victim met Draeger Saturday in Denton and agreed to meet her at a Denton McDonald's on Sunday.

"From there they went to his apartment," says Lt. West. "While they were on the couch together, the two masked suspects--wearing hoodies as well--barged into the apartment. They told him to get down, taped his hands as well as his ankles and began rummaging through his apartment." Another man is also believed to have been involved.

According to police, the masked gunmen demanded the victim's ATM and pin number, before stealing his cell phone and leaving him blindfolded and bound in the apartment. Police tell us that he was terrified and angry: but, alive.

"That could have easily been a nice young girl and my parents invited her in," says

Stephanie Waitayangkoon, "it could have been anybody." Waitayangkoon's elderly parents live in the apartment complex. She says it is of no comfort that the victim invited his alleged attacker… she is concerned that armed robbers had been so close. "And they could still could be—and that's what's most scary about it."

Police in Corinth are confident that the remaining suspects will be caught. But, in the meantime, are passing along a timely message.

"We all should—especially this time of year—take extra precautions for our own personal safety, and strangers in your home is just never a good idea."
