Who sees a freeze (again) tonight, and when Spring like storms arrive! Plus your Easter Weekend Forecast.
ANOTHER FREEZE THIS MORNING
Officially at DFW this morning (Tuesday, March 26, 2013) the low was 31 degrees. This is the 27th freeze this season. That is nearly double the number of freezes we saw last year.
LOW TEMPERATURES THIS MORNING (TUESDAY, MARCH 26)
Here are the lows from this morning at the reporting sites across North Texas.
TONIGHT
Another cold night but not as cold as last night with most areas staying above freezing except for those areas to the north and east of DFW.
TOMORROW
Mostly sunny and windy with temps warming into the upper 60s. Gusty south winds though 15 to 25 mph.
RAIN CHANCES
An upper level storm system over Alaska now will be stalled out over California this weekend. That will send little disturbance overhead this weekend and lead to storm chances.
It is tough to time out the exact timing of these disturbances, but it looks like the nighttime hours of Friday night and Saturday night look to be the favored time for the greatest coverage of showers and thunderstorms.
EASTER SUNDAY
There may be a few lingering showers and thunderstorms in the area for sunrise services. I am seeing at least a decent chance that most of the rain will be to our east by daybreak Sunday but it will be close.
