Wet Weather Continues for North Texas

RAINY EVENING FOR NORTH TEXAS…

Off and on rain will continue across the area.  At times there may be a clap of thunder and some of these isolated storms may produce some small hail.  But mostly a cold rain for us as temperatures continue to drop into the 40s this evening.

TONIGHT…

Rain will continue with the heavier rain shifting eastward.  Temperatures will fall to about 40 degrees.

FRIDAY MORNING…

Cloudy skies with a few areas of light drizzle and temperatures cool around 40 degrees with a north wind blowing at 10 to 20 mph.

FRIDAY AFTERNOON…

It looks like clouds will hang around until about sunset.  Then as we head into the evening the clouds will start to thin out.  We may see a few breaks in the clouds before sunset making for a little sunshine (I know what's that).  Temperatures thanks to the clouds and north winds on Friday will stay in the upper 40s and low 50s.

SATURDAY…

This is the day where we have the greatest chance of seeing sunshine!  I'll call it partly to mostly sunny with temperatures starting in the mid 30s and some areas will see a freeze Saturday morning.  Saturday afternoon temperatures will warm into mid 50s.  If you haven't put Christmas lights outside yet, Saturday might be the day to do it.
SUNDAY INTO MONDAY…

Yet another upper level system that will start out over California will influence our weather early next week.  On Sunday clouds will return as the upper level system gets closer.  Moisture will be returning from the south creating the cloud cover.  I don't think we will see much in the way of rain during the day on Sunday but Sunday night into Monday morning rain will likely develop across the region.  SUNDAY's high temperatures may make it to 60 degrees depending on the extent of the cloud cover.  MONDAY will see the upper level low move right overhead.  Showers and thunderstorms will be likely on Monday with heavy rain likely and a threat for a few severe storms.  Temperatures on Monday will warm into the low 60s.

TUESDAY…

Cold front sweeps thru on Monday evening and it turns cooler and dries out for Tuesday.  Highs on Tuesday will be in the 40s.
