Weekend Storm Outlook
Happy Friday. What a refreshingly cool morning across NTX with temps in the 40s and 50s in some spots.
Today will be a great Friday. Lots of sunshine across NTX and temps will be warming into the mid 80s. The majority of your Saturday will be pretty nice and warm but out west is where the dryline will setup on Saturday.

There is a slight risk of severe weather out west and it does include part of the west side of the metroplex. There is the potential for the severe weather that develops Saturday out west to hold together enough to make it close or into the metroplex late Saturday into Sunday AM.
Sunday looks like the better weather setup for severe weather across NTX including the metroplex. Where the storms develop all depends on the dry line and where the dry line sets up.
The RPM forecast model puts the dry line close to the metroplex near midday.
Right now my latest thinking is that the dry line will set up near the I-35 corridor around 11AM-Noon on Sunday and any severe storms that develop will be along this line and then to the east. The further east we go and further in to the afternoon the higher the chance of severe weather.
Large Hail and damaging winds will be the main threat but Tornadoes can't be ruled out with this severe potential.
Temps will remain warm through the end of the week and through the weekend. We could see temps near 90 on Saturday and Sunday before cooling next week.
