RAIN CHANCES PEAK OVERNIGHT HEADING INTO SUNDAY

Below I'm going to show you a series of QPF panels issued this morning by the HPC showing the rain footprint in 6-hour blocks. The first panel is for Saturday afternoon, then Saturday night, Sunday overnight and last, Sunday afternoon. The numbers that you see is the highest total rainfall expected in the six-hour period:

Notice how the axis of heavy rain forms overnight before drifting to the southeast through the morning on Sunday.

BASEBALL FORECAST

For Saturday Night: Only a 20% chance of rain that afternoon leading up to the start of the game. Mostly cloudy skies with temperatures by first pitch in the mid-70's. Rain/storms chances increase to 40% chance by the end of the game. Winds south 10-15mph

For Sunday Night: Partly cloudy with temperatures in the mid-70's at first pitch. Winds south 5-15mph. A nice night for baseball.

WARMER THEN ANOTHER SHOT OF COLD

The start of the work week will be warm. Highs on Monday should reach toward the mid-80's. Then it'll be in the upper 80's on Tuesday with gusty southwest winds. A cold front arrives on Wednesday mid-day. Highs will likely be the noontime temperature, it'll get colder during the afternoon as a strong northwest wind comes into the north Texas. There is a storm chance with this front passage, we are forecasting a 30% coverage. Then on Thursday the clouds will be with us all day. It is looking more and more like one of those days where a deck of low clouds and light rain stick around most of the day. It'll also be very windy. Highs will only get into the upper 50's unless the sun breaks out by afternoon.
