PILOT POINT (CBSDFW.COM) — North Texas is growing fast -- and many new families and businesses are moving into the area.
On Saturday, CBS 11 kicked off a new segment called "Welcome To Texas".
This week, CBS 11's Russ McCaskey showcased a special little place called Sharkarosa Wildlife Ranch in Pilot Point. The visiting experience here is distinctly different than a zoo; it is a place where animal lovers can get up close and personal with extreme critters, from kangaroos to bears, lemurs, and pythons.

The Sharkarosa Ranch is family-run by the Koemans. They moved from the Netherlands to Dallas four months ago. Their love for Texas spurred a wild animal ranch with a Lone Star State feel -- as well as an exotically different element.
