Weather Update

As the forecast models started to hint at last night it appears that the winter weather will be to the west and north of the metro area.

Expect on and off rain overnight, a good soaking for most of north Texas. The heaviest rain will be from Hillsboro up to Dallas to Paris. Temperatures are going to drop to the low 40's and stay there all day tomorrow.

TOMORROW

A cold rain for runners and everyone else, a good soaking rain (sometimes heavy) with a north wind. This goes on for a couple of days with 1"-2" rainfall amounts for the metro area by Monday mid-day.

 MONDAY

The temperatures continue to hang in the low 40's all day with rain in the metroplex. West of a Gainesville to Mineral Wells line this will be rain/sleet all day. The metro area will likely see some sleet in the mix as the precipitation reduces to very light amounts in the afternoon and evening.

 TUESDAY

No travel problems for the metro area. Temperatures right around freezing, any travel problems will be from a Eastland to Mineral Wells to Decatur to Gainesville line. A few flurries possible on Tuesday with cloudy skies and highs only in the upper 30's.

We'll continue to update and tweak the forecast as we draw closer to Monday. Any change to the storm track or speed will produce changes in the winter weather outlook.
