Warm & Getting Warmer

An absolutely stunning day in progress, temperatures in the 60's, lots of sunshine, very low humidity. Had a massive crowd today in Fort Worth for the Stock Show Parade, might have been some the best weather in a long time for it. Here's a picture from the Stock Show FB page showing the parade going over the bridge from downtown Fort Worth. Got to love Texas and Cowtown!

TONIGHT/TOMORROW

We'll have clear skies tonight, a south wind keeps the temperatures above freezing for the first time in three mornings. Some clouds come in during the afternoon tomorrow as the winds pick up. Highs should be a few degrees warmer despite the clouds, getting into the mid-60's. Another great winter day.

M.L.K. DAY MONDAY

It's a holiday and great weather for it. The first thing I need to mention is that its going to be VERY WINDY. We'll have winds out of the south 20-25 mph with 30-35mph gusts. Morning temperatures will likely be around the typical high for the this time of year, in the mid-50's!  It'll be cloudyto start the day with some small chances for light rain.  That rain chance is for the morning hours around the metro area, to the eastern counties and higher during the afternoon. The sun should break out in the afternoon and this will produce temperatures in the 70's.

A SHORT SHOT OF COLD

A cold front arrives Tuesday morning to sweep away these above-normal temperatures for a few days. It'll be warm again through the early morning hours of Tuesday, likely staying in the 50's. But the front turns  the winds to the northwest and temperatures start to drop. They will have fallen to the low 50's by afternoon with another windy day.

Lows Wednesday morning will be in the upper 20's, highs that day with sunshine will only get into the mid-50's. This typical January weather won't stick around, winds turn to the south on Thursday and we pop right back into the 60's for an afternoon high. We'll be in the 70's yet again on Friday and perhaps Saturday as well. This mild and dry weather will continue to be the trend to the middle of the month.
