Vlad Out Of Lineup For Game 2

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Vladimir Guerrero is not in the Texas Rangers lineup for Game 2 of the World Series.

Guerrero, the slugger who has to play in the field in the NL park rather than his usual designated hitter slot, had two errors in the series opener against the San Francisco Giants.

Nelson Cruz was back in right field Thursday after playing in left field the night before. David Murphy started in left field for the Rangers.

Both of Guerrero's errors came in the eighth inning of the Rangers' 11-7 loss, when San Francisco tacked on three runs before Texas scored three times in the top of the ninth.

It was only the second time since the start of September that Guerrero played in the outfield.
