OSCAR SELFIE SEEN AROUND THE WORLD
The Oscars are the talk of the online world today, with a LOT of attention going to the selfie that literally shut down twitter.
Within moments it became the most retweeted photo ever on Twitter. By Monday afternoon it had been shared nearly three million times.
It started with Oscars host Ellen DeGeneres asking to snap a selfie with Meryl Streep. She kept inviting more of the surrounding celebrities into the photo, like Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Julia Roberts and Kevin Spacey, Lupita Nyong'o and half of Jared Leto.
But someone was left out!
A reverse shot shows Liza Minnelli coming up short in her efforts to get in the selfie seen round the world.
She said later through a spokesperson, "This picture explains why I never played basketball."
CBS 11 SELFIES
The Ellen group selfie has sparked a new trend – and CBS 11 has jumped on board.
The CBS 11 morning team snapped a group selfie Monday morning. Only to be followed by the CBS 11 evening crew.
JERRY JONES AT THE OSCARS
He didn't appear in the Ellen Jones group selfie, but one of Dallas' biggest names was in the Oscar crowd.
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and his wife, Gene, were caught walking the red carpet behind an "E! Entertainment" interview.
