Tonight: Junk Food Crackdown, LeBron Fever!!!, CNN Called "Gutless," and more...
Some of the big ticket items on the big show tonight at 7pm:
At 7:05: Is it too much to ask that if corporations are marketing "food" to your kids that what they're selling actually is food? The government may be about to seriously crack down on nutrition standards for items that are specifically marketed to children. KRLD's Bonnie Petrie blogs about parenting issues and has written books worth of this kind of reporting at Pea in the Podcast. She'll join me to chat about it.
At 7:35: Is the whole world ready for LeBron James to finally decide which team he's going to join? I, for one, am just about sick of all the hype. How valuable can one guy be and has the NBA officially jumped the shark? Sports Media Analyst Chris Begala will join me to talk about it.
At 8:05: I have received tons of email (yes actual tonnage) about whether extension of unemployment benefits fosters laziness in people who would otherwise be happy to work for a living. CNN Contributor and the co-host of Both Sides Now, Mary Matalin (pictured) will join me. We'll also talk about the President's handling of the illegal immigration issue.
At 8:35: Was CNN "gutless" to fire an editor for tweeting her admiration for a religious leader from Lebanon? Harvard University Professor Stephen Walt writes at Foreign Policy Magazine that it wasn't only a cowardly move on CNN's part, but it's bad for journalism as a whole. He'll join me.
