Three Captured Following Attempted ATM Theft
An early-morning foot chase in Garland started with an attempted ATM theft and ended with three out of the four thieves in handcuffs. Early today, four men tried to make off with an ATM from a credit union only about a block, or so, away from Garland police headquarters. Officers heard the commotion and confronted the men who immediately scattered. But only one of them got away. The ATM was pried loose and tipped over but the machine was still intact when police arrived.
