Marvel Studios & Columbia Pictures announce ANDREW GARFIELD as the new web slinger.
July 3rd, 2012 is the date set for the all-new, 3-D, Spider-man movie to hit theaters. Studios begin shooting in December, and after a worldwide search, Andrew Garfield was chosen as the new Peter Parker/Spider-Man.
Tobey Maguire launched the massively popular Spider-Man franchise in 2002. Despite two sequels and huge box office sales, the studio decided it was time for a reboot with an all new cast.
Garfield, a relative newcomer, can be seen in the upcoming flick, THE SOCIAL NETWORK, directed by David Fincher.
