Texas Top 10 Sex Offender Arrested In Dallas

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) -- Willie L. Sullivan, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, is now in custody after being arrested in Dallas last Thursday.

Authorities were searching for Sullivan, who has a violent criminal history, after he violated his parole and failed to register as a sex offender. Sullivan, now 57, was arrested and sentenced in 1985 for sexually assaulting a 29-year-old woman in Dallas.

The Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Unit located and arrested Sullivan at a Dallas convenience store. Authorities credit the arrest to a Crime Stoppers tip they received regarding his location. The tip will pay up to $3,000.

Sullivan's criminal history includes Aggravated Sexual Assault, Assault with Deadly Weapon, Robbery, Burglary, Larceny, Shoplifting, Possession of Marijuana, and Escape.
