Texas Sees Another Jump In Gasoline Prices
IRVING (AP) - Retail gasoline prices took another springboard leap across Texas and the nation this week as refiners switch to more expensive but cleaner-burning summer fuel blends.
The weekly AAA Texas gasoline price survey released Thursday shows a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline rose an average of 13 cents to $3.65 in Texas and by 10 cents to $3.71 nationally.
The Texas average is still 34 cents per gallon below the record of $3.98 per gallon set on July 17, 2008.
Dallas is paying the most for its gasoline with a gallon of regular unleaded averaging $3.68 at the pump, 11 cents more than last week. Beaumont and San Antonio have the cheapest at $3.59, 12 cents more than last week in Beaumont and 13 cents more in San Antonio.
