Texas Officials Urge Students Not To Text & Drive
AUSTIN (AP) - Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott will be spending the day getting around the state to appeal to students not to text while driving.
Abbott and Texas Department of Public Safety Director Steve McCraw will make a three-city tour of high schools to take their message directly to students.
They'll start out in the morning at Del Valle High School in Austin, fly to Houston for a midday address to Cesar Chavez High School students, then finish the day with an afternoon appearance at Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas.
