Texas Food Truckin' Fest Rolls Out
ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - The first Texas Food Truckin' Fest starts this weekend April 26-27 at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. A portion of proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Relay For Life, which is the largest non-governmental funding source for cancer research. Texas gourmet food trucks, live bands and performers, activities for kids (including bounce houses, balloon artists and face painters) and a Rangers away game will greet attendees during the event.
The two-day fest will give foodies much to be happy about as fan favorites like Nammi Truck, First Bite, Taste of Home, Simply Dosa, Cupcake Garden, Bombay Chopstix, Oink N' Moo and many more line the ballpark streets with delectable dishes.
In addition, one favorite food truck will be chosen as the Best Truckin' Food Truck 2013 based on audience votes by text. (Vote by texting "truckin" to 444888.) A special trophy designed and created by custom food truck and multimedia vehicle builder, Cruising Kitchens, will be presented to the winning food truck on Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m.
The foodie fest starts at 4 p.m. on Friday, April 26th, a day pass is available for $10.00 or a two-day pass for $12.00. Kids under 12 are $5, and children under 32 inches are free.
