DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A heated dispute broke out at Tuesday night's Dallas ISD board meeting, which lasted only 15 minutes.

Board members were supposed to discuss the recent resignations of key human resources administrators – and an investigation involving them. But instead of a discussion, some trustees accused Board President Miguel Solis of misrepresenting the purpose of the meeting to the public.

Several trustees were also upset that the only item on the agenda was "vague." Its description was simply a quote from the state law allowing for the private discussion of personnel matters.

Three trustees accused Solis of ignoring their e-mails requesting to make a portion of the meeting open to the public.

"You have unilaterally decided this agenda, you unilaterally denied the public the right to know what it is this body is doing behind these doors and that is absolutely a violation of the Open Meetings Act," said DISD Trustee Elizabeth Jones.

But Solis said he expected several meetings on the same topic… and had the discretion of when to open it up to the public.

The board will meet again this month after it has posted a more detailed description of what it intends to discuss.
