TCU Edges Past Air Force 59-56
FORT WORTH (AP) - Hank Thorns scored 22 points and TCU held on to beat Air Force 59-56 on Wednesday night.
J.R. Cadot added 13 points for TCU (12-7, 2-2 Mountain West). He was 7 for 7 from the free-throw line and also led the Horned Frogs in rebounds with seven.
Taylor Broekhuis led the Falcons (11-7, 1-3) with 15 points and seven rebounds. Mike Fitzgerald scored 14 points and Todd Fletcher scored 12 for Air Force.
Thorns' basket with 3:02 remaining represented the final points of the game. The Horned Frogs didn't attempt any free throws, but Air Force missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer.
Air Force led 28-26 at the half behind Broekhuis' 11 points.
