Storm Chances for North Texas Tonight
COLD FRONT SLIDES IN TONIGHT
There is the chance of a few showers and thunderstorms late this evening and overnight in North Texas. Best coverage of rain will be after midnight tonight.
WATCHING STORMS OUT WEST
Storms are developing near the TX Panhandle this afternoon. This is developing along a cold front that is draped across the Panhandle and Oklahoma. Storms will move to the SE overnight moving into our area.
A FEW SEVERE STORMS POSSIBLE
This does not look like a big severe weather outbreak, but I can't rule out a few isolated severe storms. Main concern would be hail and gusty winds. The areas shaded in yellow below have a slight risk of seeing severe weather overnight.
STORM CHANCES

SUMMER'S HEAT!
This weekend temperatures will climb back into the 90s. And by the middle of next week we could make it to 100 degrees for the first time this year. A big upper level ridge of high pressure is set to settle overhead next week. This is the typical summertime pattern that brings us the intense heat. Here it comes!
