Storm Chances Ending... Heat Building
NO STORMS TONIGHT…
Unlike the past couple of nights, it will be a calmer night tonight. A few isolates storms still could bubble up to the south and east of Dallas this evening, but chances are pretty low and as of 430pm nothing is showing up on the radar. The cloud cover we have seen today has helped keep temperatures down a little.
COOLEST DAY OF THE MONTH…
With the cloud cover we have seen our high temperature today at DFW so far as only been 89 degrees. This is the coolest afternoon high temperature we have seen all month.
SMALL STORM CHANCE TOMORROW NIGHT…
Another upper level disturbance will get close to us tomorrow night a few isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible especially for those areas north and northeast of DFW.
HEAT BUILDS BACK INTO THE AREA…
Upper level high moves back over Texas this weekend and that means more heat. Temperatures will be back in the upper 90 and low 100s Friday thru the weekend. Dry weather too for the weekend and early next week.
WATCHING THE GULF NEXT WEEK…
There is some indication that a tropical disturbance will be moving into the Gulf of Mexico by the middle of next week. The upper level flow would bring this moisture into south Texas. Way too early to know if any tropical development would occur, but if we get moisture to move into south Texas that would bring some much needed rain to the southern part of the state where the drought is really bad.
