DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - There is new information today in the case to remove Dallas County District Attorney Susan Hawk from office.
The special prosecutor in the case has filed a new motion on the state's behalf that could ultimately cost Hawk her job.
Court documents say Hawk is incompetent and until her trial, should be temporarily replaced.
The state has taken over the removal attempt from a former top administrator who Hawk fired from the DA's office.
A judge will hold a hearing on Friday to determine whether Hawk should be removed. The city's top prosecutor said she suffered from depression last year, but is better now, and is able to lead her office.
