Site Allows Users To Track Ebola Monitoring In Dallas County

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) -- Dallas County Health & Human Services has launched a website which allows users to track the number of individuals currently being monitored for Ebola county-wide.
Officials announced on Thursday that 13 people across Dallas County are currently being monitored for Ebola.
Eleven individuals are considered "low" risk, while two have "some" risk.
The site also shows when the 21-day monitoring period ends.

"Everyone we are monitoring remains asymptomatic for Ebola," said Zachary Thompson, DCHHS director. "We will continue with our public health follow-up until the 21-day period is complete."
DCHHS is reminding people that Ebola is not spread through air, water, or food grown or legally purchased in the U.S. The virus can only be spread by coming into contact with bodily fluids or contaminated objects associated with a patient exhibiting Ebola symptoms.
"Dallas County residents can be confident that DCHHS is doing its part to protect Dallas County residents from viruses and diseases that are a threat to public health," the website reads.
