Severe Weather Possible Today
A cold front is heading towards us from the west. It has already produced a line of storms, some of these cells have dropped 1" to 1.5" hail in Eastland and Jack Counties.
The Storm Prediction Center puts a high risk of large hail centered in the metro area for today (area in red):
The latest Mesoscale Discussion talks about this threat. It appears that a Storm Watch box will be issued very shortly by the SPC.
Garry and I are in the storm center tracking these storms, keeping you updated via the crawl on the TV and through Twitter. You can follow Garry's constant stream of tweets via @CBS11Garry.
We will cut into programming if necessary, especially if these large hail cores move closer to the metroplex.
