LEWISVILLE (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Lewisville are investigating a smash-and-grab burglary at a jewelry store. The incident happened shortly before 3:45 a.m. on Wednesday at Old Town Jewelers, located along the city's Main Street, and the whole thing was caught on tape by the store's surveillance cameras.

That video shows four suspects backing up to the jewelry store in a white Ford pickup truck. They first peer through the store's front windows before smashing the door open with a large rock. Three individuals then enter the store and begin to force open display cases and take merchandise.

A getaway driver stays behind in the truck, but gets out to help his cohorts safely exit the store. Before the last man leaves, he can be seen using a chair in an attempt to break open a jewelry display case, and even standing on the case to stomp down on it with his foot. His efforts appear to be fruitless, however, as he runs out of the store before that case could be busted open.

Still, according to store owner Jack Nalbandian, the suspects managed to get away with at least $3,500 worth of jewelry, most of which were rings. Nobody was at the store when the burglary took place, and no injuries were reported.

No arrests have been made in this case, and better descriptions of the four suspects have not been given. The Lewisville Police Department has asked nearby cities to keep an eye out for a pickup truck that matches the one used in this crime, said to be a white Ford F-250 with some unspecified damage.
