IRVING, Texas (105.3 THE FAN) - Dallas Cowboys cornerback Orlando Scandrick arrived at at the club's Valley Ranch headquarters this morning and rejoined the team as the result of the NFL reaching an agreement with the NFL Players Association on changes to its performance-enhancing drug policy.
"I told him practice is at 11 o'clock,'' coach Jason Garrett said. "And he seemed excited about that.''

The league said this morning that under the new rules, three previously suspended players — the Broncos' Wes Welker, the Rams' Stedman Bailey, and Scandrick — are eligible to return to their teams this week, essentially a retroactive change in the policy that originally had Scandrick missing the first four games of the season after having tested positive to ingesting the party drug "Molly.''
Dallas will slide offensive lineman Darion Weems to IR to create space on the 53-man Cowboys roster for the activation of Scandrick, who last year and again in training camp was Dallas' best corner.
"He's got a competitive spirit that is positive and infectious,'' Garrett said. "We'll get him back in practice today and make some decisions as the week goes on.''
Those decisions include whether to position Scandrick as the slot corner and leaving Mo Claiborne as a starting corner, or to let Scandrick win the starting job over Claiborne, or even to shift Sterling Moore (the slot corner the last two weeks) to safety where he could provide better pass-coverage skills than J.J. Wilcox.
