Nice Sunday Ahead

Saturday's rain hit just about everyone, from the TCU/SMU game to the Rangers Game to the State Fair. Rainfall amounts around 1"-2" were reported around Dallas County with the heaviest stuff centered on Anderson and Henderson Counties. Here are some of our Skytracker Rainfall Reports:

Nice cool start to the morning with clouds and a north wind:

A cold front pushed through in the afternoon yesterday. Behind the front is MUCH drier air. We'll have dewpoints in the low-50's this afternoon:

Morning clouds but a gorgeous day, highs will only reach into the low 80's:

The tropical season is not done yet. We are watching a tropical low that is currently down below Cuba. It is forecast to get into the Gulf and then turn into Florida. It looks like a serious rain event in store for the Florida Peninsula from Tuesday running to Friday. Here is the forecasted position of this system by mid-day Thursday. Right now the National Hurricane Center only puts a 10% chance of becoming a named Tropical Storm. Regardless, it'll bring buckets of rain for the Sunshine State.

For us the return of dry weather is what follows today's rain. We'll still have above normal temperatures starting Monday until the next cold front arrives (no surprise: only 5 days this month of below normal highs). This looks to get here just in time for the weekend (again!). This time behind the front we'll get some true Fall weather; we should have a string of highs in the 70's starting next Saturday:
