The heat is upon us so let's take a look at both indoor and outdoor events this weekend!
Mamma Mia is back in town!! The beloved musical has been entertaining audiences around the world since the 90's. Mama Mia defines the word 'crowdpleaser"! The plot follows an American single mom and her daughter in Greece. When the dsughter announces she wants her father to attend her upcoming wedding the mom has to admit - dad could be one of 3 men she was involved with years ago! The Swedish rock band Abba lend their great songs to the sing along fest that will make you feel like a dancing queen by the end of the performance! It continues at the Music Hall at fair Park thru this Sunday.
Don't miss Nickelback at AAC this Friday at 8p with Bush performing as their opening act. Few bands did more than Nickelback to establish the force of slick, commercially minded post-grunge in the 2000s and they promise to bring the house down Friday at the AAC.
Head out to Ft Worth's Casa Manana to hear the songs of the legendary Johnny Cash in Ring of Fire. The unique musical revue is about love and faith, struggle and success, home and family. A cast of multi-talented performers take you on a journey into the world Cash created in his songs. Over 30 classic Cash hits such as "I Walk the Line," "I've Been Everywhere," "The Man in Black" fill out the production that continues at Casa Manana thru next weekend.
"Monkey See Monket Do" comes to the 106 acre Dallas Zoo on Saturday afternoon. It's the first annual Kid To DO event which is following in the footsteps of the populat Zoo To Do and will have 22 restaurants serving kid friendly fare, fun and activities all to benefit the Dallas Zoological Socirty. Tickets are $60 person and children 2 and under will be admitted free of charge.
Lasty - Travis Tritt takes the stage Saturday night at 10:30 at Billy Bob's in the Ft Worth Stockyards. Tritt is the perfect country crooner for the world famous honky tonk so bring your best steson and get ready to boot scoot!!
