Let's start off the week before Thanksgiving with some serious laughs!! Comedian and actor Larry Miller presents his one-man show Cocktails with Larry Miller: Little League, Adultery and Other Bad Ideas at the Eisemann Center in Richardson this week. Miller shares his hilarious perspectives on marriage, children and drinking... and how each one leads to the other two. Miller's film credits include Pretty Woman, The Nutty Professor, Waiting for Guffman and fifty more movies. Jerry Seinfeld calls him "the funniest guy I know." The show runs for six performances through Sunday at 8:00 pm with matinees on Nov. 19 and Nov. 20 at 2:00 pm
The Dallas Film Society celebrates films and their impact on society. This week they have an exciting event on Friday night along with a red carpet. They will be honoring screen and theatre legend, John Lithgow at their annual fall fundraising event The Art of Film on Friday evening at the Hall of State, Fair Park. Two-time Academy Award nominee and winner of two Golden Globe Awards, five Emmy Awards, two Tony Awards and two Screen Actors Guild Awards, John Lithgow will be presented with the Dallas Star Award during an evening that will celebrate the vast achievements of his career. On Saturday the Dallas Film Society will screen a retrospective of Lithgow's most famous films.

The innovative dance troupe - Pilobolus- bring their exciting performances to the Winspear Opera House as part of the AT&T Performing Arts this Saturday night at 8pm. Imaginative and intriguing, the New York Times says, "Pilobolus is a new form of Pop Dance." For almost 40 years, Pilobolus has been internationally recognized for its athletic and inventive exploration of artistic collaboration.
