Sandie Newton Is Becoming A Zombie
Okay. I have to admit it. I am not a super fan of zombie movies - they kind of freak me out although I do love to watch the occasional late night channel surfing fun of Night of The Living Dead. But all this new zombie stuff? Scarier to me than the black and white (almost comical) undead guys that stumbled around in those dated 70's films. So now I find myself in a very fun predicament!
Summit Entertainment (producers of all the mega hit Twilight films) have invited a few journalists to visit the set of their new movie Warm Bodies based on the hugely successful novel about teen love and death the undead. But not just to visit - no - to become zombie-fied. As extras. Yes!! Really? Sooo cool! How can you say no to a great offer like that?? (go ahead and Google Warm Bodies - looks really cool, right??!!)
I did not of course say no and now I find myself en route to the film set and the sun is setting and I am feeling kind of...well - thrilled at the thought of being turned into what might have also passed as an extra in Michael Jackson's Thriller music video!!
Great timing with Halloween just passed - I am pumped and ready for the 2 hour hair/make-up/costuming transformation - let's do this! I am ready to be lurking in the background in an airport scene in a major motion picture looking probably a lot like I look in the morning au naturel!! Will anyone know it's even me? The crew has already told us they will give us special lanyards to wear (and be removed when on camera) because they will not be able to tell us apart. Wow again. I am really excited now!!
I won't arrive until midnight tonight and the call time is supposed to be 5 a.m. tomorrow, but rumor has it they may move that time as we might be "working" very late tomorrow night. So I'll grab some quick shut eye in order to look awake so they can make me look un-awake at 5am. Nice. Stay tuned!!
