Ryan Back At Cowboys Offices

IRVING (105.3 THE FAN) - Rob Ryan is back at Valley Ranch today.

The reported new Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator appears to be working without the Cowboys making any kind of official announcement.  In other words, it is a confirmed, unconfirmed hiring.

It appears the Cowboys are simply letting all of the coaching staff pieces to fall in place before making it "official."

Ryan is reportedly putting his own staff together for the defensive side of the ball, which is good news for the Cowboys.

Also, the Cowboys are wrestling with the possible hiring of Dan Campbell or Bruce Matthews to assist on the offensive line.  Campbell played tight end for the Cowboys before heading to the Lions to "end his career."  The Hall of Famer Matthews served in a similar role with the Houston Texans.  Linebackers coach Reggie Herring may be headed to the Texans to join former Cowboys coach Wade Phillips' defensive staff.  He interviewed with the Texans this week.
