Mack Brown Stepping Down After Alamo Bowl?
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Longhorns sources are saying that University of Texas football coach Mack Brown is stepping down after the Alamo Bowl.
Brown as compiled a 158-47 record in 16 seasons with the Longhorns, including 10 Bowl victories, six Big 12 South titles, three conference titles and the 2005 National Championship.
The move was first reported by Orangebloods.com writer Chip Brown via Twitter:
Reports say Brown met with new Texas Athletic Director Steve Patterson two days ago.

The Texas Longhorns are 8-4 going into the Alamo Bowl to face the 10-2 Oregon Ducks.
Texas had a chance to win the Big 12 title and play in a BCS bowl game, but the Longhorns lost to Baylor 30-10 Saturday in the regular season finale.
Oregon (10-2) won its first eight games and was in the national title discussion before losing at Stanford on Nov. 7. The Ducks also got blown out at Arizona before rallying to beat rival Oregon State 36-35.
