Rangers trade for Lee
We are getting reports that Justin Smoak and three others have been traded to the Seattle Mariners for Cliff Lee and reliever Mark Lowe.
Seattle will send Lee and reliever Mark Lowe to Texas in exchange for first baseman Justin Smoak and three minor leaguers: Blake Beavan, Matt Lawson and Josh Lueke
The Mariners reportedly were close to sending Lee to the Yankees before Texas stepped forward with its offer.
