Rangers Playing Longest Homestand Of The Year

 

 ARLINGTON, TX—The Texas Rangers return home on Friday for the team's longest homestand of 2010, a 10-game stay with the Chicago White Sox, Cleveland, Indians, and Baltimore Orioles that leads up to the All-Star Break. 

The White Sox will be at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington for 7:05 p.m. games on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, July 2, 3, and 4. A pair of spectacular fireworks shows highlight the weekend on Friday and Sunday. On July 2, tickets regularly priced up to $25 are just $10 with the Verizon Wireless Friday Night Fireworks ticket special. Cash parking is also just
$5 that night. On Saturday, the first 20,000 fans receive a Rangers Patriotic Cap from Dr Pepper/Tom Thumb. The 1st Cavalry Division from Fort Hood will be presenting the colors on Saturday. 

Some very special Independence Day pre-game activities are scheduled for July 4. These will include an induction ceremony of 175 United States Air Force recruits and a flyover of F-16's from the 457th Flight Squadron of NASJRB Fort Worth. The DFW Airport Police will also present the U.S. Honor Guard Flag that flew over the World Trade Center site after Sept. 11, 2001 and also flew in Afghanistan and Iraq. 

The Indians are in town for 7:05 p.m. games on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, July 5, 6, and 7, all at 7:05 p.m. July 7 is Dollar Hot Dog Night and Dr Pepper Autograph Wednesday. 

The Orioles close the homestand with 7:05 p.m. games on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, July 8 (7:05 p.m.), 9 (7:20 p.m.), and 10 (7:05 p.m.) and Sunday, July 11 (2:05 p.m). The second Verizon Friday Night Fireworks of the homestand will be held on July 9. On Saturday, the Rangers will honor Michael Young for becoming the franchise's all-time career hits leader in a special pre-game ceremony which begins at 6:45 p.m. Game time has been moved to 7:20 p.m. that evening. In addition, the first 20,000 fans get a Michael Young red and white cap from Coca-Cola and Walgreen's. 

The Rangers will recognize their 2010 American League All-Stars in a pre-game ceremony on Sunday, July 11. The first 20,000 fans receive a Vladimir Guerrero Texas t-shirt compliments of Sweet Baby Ray's.

Friday, July 2, 2010 – vs. Chicago-AL – 7:05 p.m.  – TXA21-HD

  • Verizon Wireless Friday Night Fireworks – featuring patriotic rock n' roll music. Fans may purchase $10 tickets in select seating areas using 'VERIZON' as the coupon code on texasrangers.com. All cash parking will be just $5.
  • Throughout most of the homestand, fans may sign cards to be presented to Michael Young during July 10 ceremony (Section 30 Promotions Kiosk, Center Field Sports Park).

 Saturday, July 3, 2010 – vs. Chicago-AL – 7:05 p.m. – FSSW-HD

  • Dr Pepper/Tom Thumb Patriotic Cap for the first 20,000 fans.

 Sunday, July 4, 2010 – vs. Chicago-AL – 7:05 p.m.  – FSSW-HD

  • Air Force pre-game induction ceremony.
  • Post-game Independence Day Fireworks Show.
  • Dreyer's $1 Ice Cream Sunday for kids ages 13 & under.

 Monday, July 5, 2010 – vs. Cleveland – 7:05 p.m. – FSSW-HD

  • Military Mondays – active or retired military ID may be presented at any Rangers Ballpark box office for one free ticket with each regularly-priced ticket purchased in most seating sections.

 Tuesday, July 6, 2010 – vs. Cleveland – 7:05 p.m. – FSSW-HD

  • Free Kid Tuesdays - one free child ticket (ages 13 and under) will be available with every full-priced adult ticket purchased in most seating areas.

 Wednesday, July 7, 2010 – vs. Cleveland – 7:05 p.m. – FSSW-HD

  • $1 Hot Dog Night.
  • Dr Pepper Autograph Wednesdays – four Rangers players will be signing autographs on designated areas of the concourse between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. for all fans 13 and under.
  • Ozarka Website Wednesdays – tickets in several seating areas are available at half price when purchased on texasrangers.com.

 Thursday, July 8, 2010 – vs. Baltimore – 7:05 p.m.  – FSSW-HD

  • Active Seniors Thursdays – fans 65 and older will receive one free ticket in select seating areas with the purchase of one regularly-priced ticket up to $40 when proof of age is presented at any Rangers Ballpark Box Office.

 Friday, July 9, 2010 – vs. Baltimore – 7:05 p.m.  – TXA21-HD
