Rangers Fan Looks To Barter Tickets

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Dominic Falcinelli had a choice: love for his World Series-bound Rangers or love for his girlfriend? The Denton man said it was an easy decision. He chose his girlfriend.

Dominic got his hands on two tickets to Game 5 of the World Series, but is willing to trade them away.

"They're definitely good seats," he said. "The seats are in section 214, which is the Lexus Terrace level."

The tickets come with parking passes and the total face value is $450. Similar tickets are going for hundreds more on broker websites.

Dominic decided the tickets would be even more valuable if he used them in a different way. He wants to do a little bartering: trade housework for the tickets.

"I decided to do something special. I wanted to do something nice for my girlfriend," he said.

Dominic's girlfriend Shauna Graham has always wanted to update the kitchen in her home, which was built in the 1940s. Now, it is literally falling apart. Cabinet doors are missing; there is water damage to the floors; the tiles are old and discolored.

However, Shauna has never had the time nor resources to work on her home. She's spent the last nine years focused on raising her twin boys, one of whom had cancer. He is finally in remission.

"As a mother, that's very frightening to be faced with something being seriously wrong with your child," she said.

Now, Shauna wants to spend a little more time on her home.

"With twin boys, I spend a lot of time in the kitchen. I cook a lot," she said.

Dominic is hoping a contractor or handyman will trade his or her expertise for the Rangers Tickets. There is one caveat: the contractor must be a Rangers Fan.

"We're not expecting a complete Home and Garden, extreme-makeover type thing, but new countertops, just a fresh look," he said.

So far, Dominic has not received any interesting offers. Even if the ticket trade doesn't work out, Shauna knows her boyfriend is a keeper.

"Oh, I thought it was so sweet, but that' the kind of man he is. He's very sweet and thoughtful," she said, smiling.
