Rangers Agree To Terms With Harrison
ARLINGTON (Sports Network) - The Texas Rangers agreed to terms with pitcher Matt Harrison on a one-year contract Tuesday, avoiding arbitration.
Harrison went 14-9 with a 3.39 earned run average in 31 appearances -- 30 starts -- for the Rangers last season, ranking third on the team in wins and second in quality starts (20).
The 26-year-old left-hander has spent his whole major league career with Texas after being acquired from the Atlanta Braves in a multi-player deal in 2007.
He has a career record of 30-19 with a 4.49 ERA, three complete games and two saves through 94 games with 62 starts for the Rangers.
