Fall is considered the secondary wet season in north Texas (Spring being the primary). We have the best rain for the week ahead during the first half of the day. That rain should be moving east as we get into Sunday afternoon and Rangers baseball.

Futuresky Forecast Showing it wet in the Metro area up to Noon

The rain chances are highest to the eastern edge where the rain will be last to leave. Rainfall amounts could get over 1" in some areas, including the metroplex:

The rain and clouds will keep temperatures in the 70's on the east side of the I-35E line. From Fort Worth to the west highs should reach at least into the 80 degree range. We'll have a south wind so highs should reach into the mid-80's in our northwest and west where the rain will be gone by early morning.

Another cold front arrives Tuesday morning, right now I'll keep a mere 10% rain chance in the picture but that is looking generous right now. Highs all of next work-week stay in the 80's. We'll get close to a 90° high by Friday and Saturday before the next cold front arrives.

This is again looking like a good shot of cold air for next weekend, highs on Sunday could again stay in the 70's all day teamed up with some good rain chances. The last 100° day was only a week ago but that kind of heat seems a distant memory now…
