Rain Chances Evaporate for Fourth of July Week
A FEW COOLING STORMS
It's been another hot day in North Texas, tempered only by more clouds and scattered showers and thunderstorms. These storms are forming with peak heating and ample moisture in the atmosphere. We've seen some very tropical downpours in parts of the area. The increase in moisture is due to an upper level disturbance found in southwest Texas. The flow around this area low pressure is aiding shower development today.
This disturbance is moving away from us, to the west. So our rain chances Monday will be a bit less than today. We could still see a stray shower or two drifting through North Texas...but most of us will stay rain-free. High pressure will begin to take over again through the end of the week...leading to the temperature inching back upward.
