Prison Guard Beaten To Death During Cell Transfer

NEW BOSTON (CBSDFW.COM) - A Texas prisons spokesman says an inmate beat a guard to death during a cell transfer.
Inmate named Billy Tracy beat the rookie corrections officer to death, officials said. It happened in New Boston near Texarkana.
The 37-year-old inmate is serving life for a robbery and assault that happened in Rockwall.
The guard, Timothy Davidson was on the job just six months.
