Power Plant Closer To Adding Two More Nuclear Reactors
North Texas' Comanche Peak nuclear power plant is a step closer to adding 2 more nuclear reactors. Yesterday House lawmakers approved an additional 25 billion dollars in loan guarantees. Adding in another 18.5 billion already approved by Congress and 9 billion waiting for approval...it would bring total loan guarantees up to 52 billion dollars...which the plants ownder says would be enough to build the reactors. Both still need approval by the Senate.
