COLLEYVILLE (CBSDFW.COM) - Was it a million dollar murder? Police say a father and son killed a Colleyville housekeeper for the money.

Investigators spent months unraveling the mystery surrounding Anita Dyson Fox's murder and Wednesday they said the search for the truth isn't over yet.

Police say they know who viciously beat and stabbed Fox, but there may be others connected to the motive for the murder.

Bernard Gorman, 26, is in custody and being held in Florida. His father, Gerard Gorman, died last month. The two Houston men are who detectives killed the 69-year-old housekeeper.

Fox's body was found inside the Colleyville house, where she worked. Neighbors in the secluded, upscale community told CBS 11 News that Fox arrived like clockwork, every other Tuesday, and had done so for years.

On Wednesday, Colleyville Police Chief Mike Holder outlined a scheme that involved the Gorman suspects getting a $1,000,000 life insurance policy on Fox, then killing the woman to cash in.

"What we have specific to our case, is we believe that they had a connection to an insurance policy that was issued on Ms. Fox, and their intent was to kill her, and somehow collect from the proceeds of that money. I mean… their motive was greed."

A few days after the September 2014 killing, police released a sketch of a man seen leaving the 500 block of Frontier Court just before Fox's body was discovered. The picture is a close match for Gerard Gorman, who was found dead in a Houston-area motel in January.

Colleyville police want to extradite Bernard Gorman from Florida. Two Colleyville detectives headed south on Wednesday to bring the 26-year-old back to Texas to face the murder charge.

Police have not said if there is any connection between the suspects and the woman they allegedly killed.
