DALLAS(CBSDFW.COM) - Police believe a man tried to kidnap the same 12-year-old girl two days in a row along Community Drive near Denton Drive in Northwest Dallas.

Police describe the suspect as Hispanic, 5'8", between 30 and 40-years-old with a tattoo of a star on the right side of his neck.

Police say he offered the child a ride at 7:45am Tuesday, but she ran away.

Then at 7:45am Wednesday, police say he grabbed her and took her behind an apartment complex.  She escaped again.

Police say at first, he was driving a dark-colored four-door sedan with a missing front right hubcap.
The next day, he was driving a lowered tan colored pick-up truck with scrap metal in back.

Area residents like Arnold Scott are on alert.  "It raises a lot of concerns," says Scott, a grandfather.
"These kids are innocent kids. I wouldn't want this to happen to my daughter and grandchildren like that."

Maritza DeLeon, a mom, worries about the man's motive.  "Maybe he wanted to sell her or something like that because twice the same girl."
