Police Search For Suspect Involved In Aggravated Assault

RICHARDSON (CBSDFW.COM) - Police are searching for a man suspected in the aggravated assault of a woman Saturday morning.

Richardson Police say a woman was traveling on Park Vista Road around 9:30 a.m. when she was flagged down by the suspect who appeared to be a jogger. The suspect told the woman his dog was injured in a wooded ditch.

When then woman left her vehicle to help, the suspect grabbed and pushed her down into a the wooded area off of the roadway.

The suspect used a knife during his attack.

The victim then used a can of pepper spray to ward him off.

The suspect then ran away.

The victim received minor injuries.

Richardson Police have described the suspect as a white male, 20 -30 years old, short dark hair, blue eyes, clean shaven and approximately six feet tall with a slim build.  He was last seen wearing beige running shorts and a beige t-shirt.

Richardson Police are asking people to call 972-744-4801 if they know anything.
