DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) — Police say a bystander at a bar in Oak Cliff was shot and killed early Saturday morning after a fight broke out.

Dallas police officers responded to the Patio Bar at 534 Sunset Ave., near the Bishop Arts district, around 2:30 a.m. regarding a shooting.

According to witnesses, a fight had broken out inside the bar between two groups of people, who were escorted outside, police said. One man involved in the fight got into a vehicle and shot toward the bar as the vehicle drove away.

Police said a woman was hit and pronounced dead at the scene by Dallas Fire-Rescue. She had no form of ID on her and has not yet been identified. Officers said she was a bystander.

Police are continuing to investigate.
